Inspired by a two-year-old English Mastiff who would imitate morning yoga poses, professional photographer, Dan Borris created YOGA DOGS, a full-colour collection of 45 different dogs and puppies doing human yoga poses. None of the animals were harmed during the making of the images, and instead their extreme flexibility has to be chalked up to very effective Photoshopping. The results are silly and curious all at once. The inherently funny pictures are complemented by humorous instructions for canines along with some funny and pun-y meditations.
Daniel Borris is a professional photographer, widely recognized for his portraiture. His images have appeared in Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, The New York Times, and Smithsonian among many others. His commercial clients have included The Gap, American Express, Sony and Atlantic Records.
