Sequences

Ideal for instructors and students wishing for more cultural content than that found in a traditional intermediate textbook, "Sequences'" thematic threads are devoted to mature, interesting topics that intertwine the study of grammar and culture with highly contextualized discussions of specific films and authentic readings. By viewing recent French films, reading reviews of the films, researching related cultural issues on the Internet, and discussing issues raised by the movies, students will discover the many facets of Francophone life, master related vocabulary, and feel confident in their ability to discuss issues raised in or out of the classroom. The flexible nature of the text allows instructors to tailor their course in a variety of ways by varying film selections each semester, using material not covered in class as an additional source of enrichment, or by teaching a very dense or less rigorous course.
