The Little Book of Rangers

One half of Glasgow's Old Firm, Rangers are one of the two great powers in Scottish football who have dominated the domestic game for more than a century. They have won the Scottish League a record 54 times and been runners-up a further 26 times, as well as winning the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1972, the Scottish Cup 33 times and the Scottish League Cup on a record 27 occasions. This book is a celebration of the great traditions of the club as well as the many larger-than-life characters who have walked through its doors. From 'Wee Blue Devil' Alan Morton and the legendary 'Slim Jim' Baxter, through stalwart John Greig, Jock Wallace and Alex Ferguson (as a player) to Paul Gascoigne, Graeme Souness, Barry Ferguson and the current manager (and former playing legend) Ally McCoist, people at the club have always been famous for their 'patter' and the pride with which they pull on the famous royal blue shirts. And no club in the whole wide world of football has more loyal support - Rangers' most famous song is "Follow Follow" and the club's vast ranks of supporters do indeed follow their team to the ends of the earth.
