London: Carpenter & Son, and J.M. Richardson, 1828. 8vo. Marbled paper boards with printed titling-label on spine. (viii, 472pp.). With 4 full-page engrv. plates each heightened in orig. watercolour. Some staining and old damp marks, but overall a good copy, inscribed on title-page, ""From the Author, to his Affectionate Daughter, Ann Williams, July 1832."" An important historical record of the London sub-ways. Rare.
