London: The Bodley Head, (1982). 8vo. Or.cl.d.w. (216pp.). With 12 full-page plates. Previous owner's signature on front fly-leaf. 1st ed. NOTE: James Bodell served with the 59th Regiment of Foot from 1847 to 1854, in Ireland and Hong Kong. After his discharge from the Army he lived in Tasmania and Victoria, Australia, before volunteering to serve in New Zealand in the Maori wars from 1863 to 1866.
