With engrv. frontispiece and 3 full-page engrv. plates. Pages browned and contemp. name on verso of frontispiece. NOTE: An early treatise on logic and memory by Isaac Watts, acclaimed minister of the Church of Christ, non-conformist religious scholar, music composer and the 'father of English hymnody'. From an early age, Watts showed promise in the area of prose and rhetoric, composing many famous hymns, one of which is the famous hymn 'Joy to the World'.
