With frontispiece and accompanying tissue guard and numerous full-page plates. Minor cracking of the original peach coloured endpapers, otherwise an excellent complete copy of the 1st English edition bearing a 1910 inscription on verso of frontispiece. NOTE: The first volume of Jules Verne's great trilogy with the subsequent volumes entitled 'The Abandoned' and 'The Secret of the Island' respectively.
