London: Virtue & Co., n.d. (ca 1870's). Large thick folio. Contemp. full heavily embossed dark green morocco with bevelled boards. Illustrated gilt borders on all covers. Spines uniformly extra gilt stamped and with raised bands. All edges gilt. Inside dentelles. Complete with 2 engraved frontispieces, 2 additional illustrated title-pages, and 42 full-page steel-engraved plates, all with their orig. plain paper guards. Some occasional foxing, but an excellent set. Printed in double-column. NOTE: A most handsome set of the magisterial Victorian Imperial Edition.
