Writers Live - Hugh Mackay introduces Beyond Belief
30th Jun '16 @ Narrabeen Beach Surf Life Saving Club

Default_mackayhugh05

You are invited to meet Hugh Mackay when he introduces his new book Beyond Belief: How we find meaning and purpose without religion.

At a time when 61 percent of Australians still identify as Christian but only 8 percent attend church weekly, Hugh Mackay tackles one of the big questions about contemporary Australia: how do we find our sense of meaning and purpose when religious faith and practice are in such sharp decline? (And why are enrolments at church schools skyrocketing?)

In his new book Hugh Mackay draws on research suggesting that our quest for a meaningful life depends on believing in something 'greater than ourselves' and explores what that 'something' might be for today's Australians.

Join us at 6.30pm on Thursday June 30th when Hugh Mackay speaks at the Narrabeen Surf Life Saving Club, Cnr. Albert and Ocean Streets, Narrabeen NSW, 2101.

Bookings are essential and can be made online by follow this link (fees apply), by phone on 9979 2112 or by email to monavale@berkelouw.com.au.
