The Berkelouw Bookbarn in Berrima has recently acquired a collection of American Civil War books.

The Civil War is usually thought of as the first modern war. Certainly in the use of firepower, the deployment of troops & the development of weaponry there is no contest for the title. The Civil War was also the first war in history to be extensively photographed.
