Sunny Coast band, HoneyBird - specialising in bluesy rock grooves, are launching their new LP at a special event at Berkelouw Books in Eumundi on Saturday 23rd March. The group's sound, which features the toneful vocals from charismatic lead singer Ilsa Wynne-Hoelscher, has been described as Amy Winehouse backed by Led Zeppelin! After playing a cool set at Berkelouw during the recent Christmas night markets, store manager Amanda Isler hatched a plan to bring more special events to Eumundi, which coincided beautifully with the upcoming release of the new HoneyBird LP. So to kick things off she's working with the band in creating this special ticketed event. The band will perform songs from A Golden Thread -  ten great new tracks that span soul, blues and rock. Naturally, the theme for the night will be built around music and music literature, with a huge array of music books and biographies available on the night - including some very rare and hard to get titles, such as a signed, (number 1,615 of only 2,000 copies) limited edition autobiography by George Harrison, I Me Mine.
