Lithographed by the Artist with Letterpress Descriptions of each views. Melbourne: Hamel & Ferguson (circa 1860's). THE VERY RARE LARGE PLATE ISSUE. Oblong elephant folio. Preserved in specially made folding solander case with the plates and descriptive text loosely presented. The coloured litho title-page marginally refurbished; the 24 litho plates sharp and clean. The significance of this set is the size of the illustrated surface measuring 48cm. whereas the standard sets measure 46 cm. Ferguson 10134a cites the two variants in the D.L. (Dickon Library). Complete copy of the Large Plate Issue especially produced for framing purposes only are exceedingly uncommon as most sets would not have remained in tact in their as issued state.
