Gold-Mining Lease.

This is a rare or used book from the Berkelouw Rare Books Department.

(N.S.W.): Registered in the Department of Mines 1884. Orig. pale yellow paper stock measuring 25cm x 40cm. Two pages. Handwritten in brown ink with small red wax seal. Small diagram of plot. Significant scorch mark on lease otherwise fair condition. NOTE: Mark Hammond was the gold miner who physically discovered the 93.2kg gold nugget at the Star of Hope Mine Hawkins Hill Hill End which was claimed by the Mine manager Bernhardt Holtermann who called it the Holtermann Nugget. This is a later lease for the Tambaroora and Turon district in Hill End.
