About Berkelouw Newtown, Sydney

Newtown1-1 Newtown2 Newtown3-1

Berkelouw Books Newtown is located at 6-8 O’Connell Street, in a stunning renovated warehouse building just off bustling King Street. Upstairs in the atmospheric loft of the building we have a collection of over fifty thousand used and rare books. Downstairs we have a large independent selection of new books and a select gathering of rare and antiquarian books.

Our staff are ready to help you make a selection or track down a hard-to-find or out-of-print book. Our cafe on the second floor serves organic fair trade coffee and has fresh pastries and rustic breads that are baked daily on site. It’s a great place to relax with friends or read a book. We hope that this space will become a favourite haunt for those seeking a refuge from the hustle and bustle of King Street. We have literally spent years sourcing books from all over the world for our Newtown store and now that our doors are open, we will continue to supply an interesting, independent and diverse selection of books. The renovation has produced a great atmosphere so come along to Berkelouw Books Newtown and take a look around. We look forward to seeing you.

Directions
