If you enjoy a good slightly intellectual rom-com then this is the book for you, already being adapted for screen. One Day is the story of Dexter Mayhew and Emma Morley with Nicholls providing snapshots into both characters’ lives for 20 consecutive years on the anniversary of their first meeting, the 15th of July, St Swithins Day. The novel is pleasantly fast paced, comic and heartfelt with Nicholls capturing the nuances of young adulthood, romance, love and heartache.
