We're delighted to be running a Young Writers competition for any and all young aspiring authors! Winners and shortlisted entries in each age category will receive a prize, and you have until June 28th to hand your entries in to the Balgowlah store.

Stories can be any genre as long as thet are totally OUT OF THIS WORLD! Space, magic, robots, adventures, family dramas big and small, it's all welcome.
Short stories length is between 800 and 1500 words. Poetry/Verse entries are between 200 and 400 words. Picture books can also be submitted and should be between 10 to 15 pages.

Entries will also be seperated by age groups 6-8, 9-12 and 13-18.

To enter, simply hand in your entry to a staff member at Berkelouw Balgowlah by June 28th with your full name and contact details, and only one entry per person.
