Located on the ‘Bendooley’ property, just up the driveway from the Rare Book Department, the Berrima Book Barn houses over 200,000 secondhand books and a selection of new books.

A huge converted barn, complete with a hayloft and surrounded by paddocks, cattle and all manner of rural paraphernalia, the Book Barn is the kind of place where you can easily lose track of the time. It is packed to the rafters with tomes on hundreds of subjects – from classic fiction, treatise on the occult to aviation manuals. We encourage our customers to make a day of their visit. Browse at a leisurely pace for as long as you like. In winter, curl up in front of our fireplace. Then, when you’re all browsed out, take a seat at our cafe and enjoy some lunch and a coffee.

Directions
The Book Barn is located near historic Berrima in the Southern Highlands. It is a short drive from the Sydney Metropolitan area. Once in the Southern Highlands, simply follow the Old Hume Highway from Mittagong and we are located 3kms before Berrima on the right hand side.
