About Berkelouw Rare Books Department

Berkelouw Books is Australia’s largest rare and antiquarian bookdealer. Although we sell new books in our city stores, our business was built on the trade of rare and valuable books, and this remains at the heart of the Berkelouw operation.

Our Rare and Antiquarian Book Department, which houses over 40,000 items, is located on ‘Bendooley’, a property just north of Berrima in the beautiful Southern Highlands of NSW. The books, pamphlets and journals cover an extraordinary range of topics and periods forming a collection that will interest most book collectors. Latest Acquisition Catalogues are issued regularly and can be received as a printed item or as an email.
