Southern Highlands Literary Dinner - Chef Giovanni Pilu comes to the Highlands

Over the course of three massive days from July 12 to 14, this year’s Southern Highlands Writers’ Festival will feature over 30 of Australia’s leading writers of books, poetry, TV and plays for what promises to be a stimulating weekend of creative ideas and discussion. 

A significant highlight of the Festival's extensive 2013 program line-up will be this year's Literary Dinner, which is gearing up to be one of the biggest events in the Highlands social calendar. Set amidst the bookish ambience of the Berkelouw Book Barn in Berrima, the Literary Dinner will take on a Sardinian flavour with renowned two-hatted chef Giovanni Pilu in the kitchen, to present a delectable Italian three-course dinner from his award-winning cookbook A Sardinian Cookbook.

“Along with Giovanni, we’re excited to announce that radio star and writer Richard Glover will be a featured guest at the Literary Dinner,” says Festival Director Michaela Bolzan. “He’ll then be joined on stage by former Olympian and novelist Lisa Forrest, who will reflect on her fascinating career as an elite sportsperson and writer.”

The Southern Highlands Writers’ Festival will take place on July 12 to 14 at the Gibraltar Hotel, Bowral.
