Berkelouw Books Mona Vale presents The Pittwater Story Award 2019. The Award is designed to recognise and reward the creative writers of our community. We invite the creative writers of Pittwater aged 9 and up to enter. There is up to $400 worth of Berkelouw Books gift vouchers to be won! The winners will also win an intimate tour and Q&A with publishers at publishing house Hachette.

To be eligible your story needs to be based in Pittwater and has to incorporate the 2019 theme: Stingers.

The Winners will be announced at the presentation ceremony which will take place at 6.30pm on Tuesday 25 June 2019 at Berkelouw Books Mona Vale. Shortlisted writers, their family and friends will be invited.

There are three categories and three prizes.

Category 1: For writers aged 9-12 years. Length: No more than 500 words. Prize $100 Berkelouw Books Voucher and a private in-house tour and Q&A with publishers at Hachette.

Category 2: For writers aged 13-17 years. Length: No more than 1000 words. Prize $200 Berkelouw Books Voucher and a private in-house tour and Q&A with publishers at Hachette.

Category 3: Open category. Length: No more than 2000 words. Prize $400 Berkelouw Books Voucher and a private in-house tour and Q&A with publishers at Hachette.
