Extra gilt borders on both front & rear covers. Spine gilt panelled. Inside dentelles. All edges gilt. Silk wove endpapers. Folio (measuring 41 x 33cm.). (xvi 178pp.). With 24 magnificently hand-coloured aquatint plates each with a protective tissue-guard and folding engrv. map at end hand-coloured in outline. Preserved in specially made fleece-lined qtr. morocco folding solander case with gilt title and raised bands to spine. According to Abbey Travel No. 217 only 50 large paper copies were produced.
