Inscribed by author Edward Hughes on title page. Significant foxing throughout otherwise fair copy. NOTE: Edward Hughes (1818-1876) was a cartographer and geographer. Containing detailed map showing all the gold fields in the south-eastern districts of Australia including cartographer's own remarks in the margins about the evidence of gold in Sydney jewellery shops of 1840.
