Lim. ed. of 350 numbered copies. Additional calf title-label in pocket on back endpaper. Fine and attractive copy. NOTE: Nicolas Baudin led the French expedition to chart the unknown southern coast of New Holland. They met Matthew Flinders and the 'Investigator' on 8 April 1802 at Encounter Bay in South Australia. Baudin died in 1803 on the homeward journey to France so it was left to the expedition's naturalist Fran‡ois P‚ron to publish the account and charts of the voyage.
