With 1 page of contemp. adverts. at back of book. Lacking fold. frontispiece and back end-paper. Former owners bookplate and pen marking on front end-paper. Some water staining not affecting text and toning on pages otherwise a good copy of the first complete English edition. NOTE: Hemlock belongs to the Carrot family Apiaceae and is highly poisonous. It was used historically as a sedative and to treat a number of other issues such as joint pain.
