(Hobart 1954). Sm. 4to. Orig. cloth (spine faded). (viii 114pp.). With 5 b/w full-page plates. (Hudspeth Memorial Volume. Cover titled "Early Van Diemen's Land"). Previous owner's bookplate on front fly-leaf. This copy being Dr George Mackaness' copy bearing his bookplate on front endpaper. NOTE: Reverend Robert Knopwood (cc1761-1838) was the first Colonial Chaplain in Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) from 1804. George Thomas William Blamey Boyes (1787-1853) was Colonial Auditor in Van Diemen's Land from 1826 till his death.
