In an exquisite oblong quarto album with detailed hand-painted and lacquered boards with bevelled edges. Oasis spine. Edges gilt. The painting on the front cover depicts two geisha girls with heightened ivory heads and hands and Mount Fuji in the background. In perfect condition. The delightful coloured photographs include many of the then tourist sites in Japan. Some foxing mostly confined to the mount boards and not affecting the photographs. A desirable piece.
