With errata leaf at end but without Harvey's portrait as usual now recognised missing in at least the majority of the copies known. 1st edition of Harvey's classic on embryology considered the most important work on the subject in the 17th century. The chapter on midwifery is the first written by an Englishman. Former owner's name on front end-paper. A fine copy of this rare treatise.
