London: George Routledge and Sons no date (1884). Small 8vo. Original illustrated green cloth with bevelled boards. Gilt. (vi 184pp.). With colour frontispiece by Edmund Evans title-vignette 26 full-page plates and some tail-piece text-illustrations. Some soiling in text but a complete copy of what is probably the correct 1st edition. Light foxing throughout and previous owners name on front free end-paper. NOTE: The limp orange cloth issue as published in the series "Every Boy's Library" (see Muir Vol. I: pp.462) would seem to be a cheaper and probably a later the same year issue. The issue here on offer is cited by Muir as "Unseen".
