Orig. printed wrappers (spine of "plates" volume cracked). Uncut. Title-page printed in red/black ink. Complete with 41 full-page plates drawn by Percy F. S. Spence title-vignette and dec. initials. Each plate is mounted and has an interleaved page of descriptive letterpress printed in red. Slight foxing and bookplate on front endpaper of portfolio otherwise fine and complete. Rare. NOTE: Portrait subjects include Edmund Barton Joseph Chamberlain and Henry Parkes.
