NOTE: Harry George Chauvel (1865-1945) was an Australian soldier who served with the Queensland Mounted Infantry in the early part of the Boer War. During the First World War after serving at Gallipoli he played a major part in the Palestine campaign 1917 to 1918 first as commander of the Australian and New Zealand Mounted Division then in command of the Desert Mounted Corps.
