Wien: Im Verlage des Kunst u. Industrie Comptoirs 1805. Large engrav. map hand-coloured in outline depicting a somewhat deformed Australia as "New Hollands vormals Ulimaroa" with the southeast of the continent not delineated and depicting the possibility of an inland river running from the Gulf of Carpentaria in the north to Bass Strait in the south. Measuring approx. 71.5cm. x 57cm. including good margins. Fine. NOTE: Tooley 1214 records a similar map as this but cites the date as 1815 whilst the copy here offered was published ten years cearlier. The word "Ulimaroa" was the name given to the continent by the indigenous inhabitants.
