NOTE: On Monday 10 February 1964 off the coast of New South Wales there was a collision between the aircraft-carrier HMAS Melbourne and the destroyer HMAS Voyager which resulted in the sinking of the Voyager with the loss of 82 lives. This was the worst peacetime disaster in Australian naval history.
