Grave par Ambroise Tardieu. Measurements 80 x 56cm. including good margins. In fine condition. Not recorded by Tooley. NOTE: In 1823 Governor Brisbane sent John Oxley Surveyor-General of New South Wales north to found a new convict colony. Sailing nearly 700 miles up the coast he encountered Cook's Moreton Bay where he discovered a large river which he named after his Governor. This fine chart shows Oxley's exploration of the river and the present site of Brisbane. Rare.
