NOTE: Henry Bathurst Third Earl (1762-1834) was Secretary for War Colonies (1812-1827) and Lord President of the Council (1828-1830). These papers are lengthy correspondences between Earl Bathurst and Officers administrating His Majesty's possession in the West Indies and on the Continent of South America. Totalling 91 correspondences. A very important record of historic information on the slave population in the West Indies.
