Paris: H. Floury 1921. Small quarto in an attractive contemporary French binding of quarter red morocco with marbled boards (corner points slightly bumped/rubbed). Raised bands and gilt lettering to spine. Marbled endpapers. (4 274 2pp.). With the original front wrapper (a lithograph in sanguine 'Tte de jeune fille') bound-in; 56 gravure plates (12 in colour); 1 original dry-point etching by Renoir 'Jeunes filles fleurissant leurs chapeaux' on fine wove paper (loosely inserted); and 95 in-text gravure illustrations. First edition on paper vellum. Slight age-toning otherwise fine. An important memoir of Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841-1919) key figure of the Impressionist movement by close friend and writer Georges Rivire (1855-1943).
