Brisbane: James C. Beal 1874. F'scap folio. (10pp.). NOTE: John Buhot born in Barbados came out to Australia in 1862 and made some sugar in the Brisbane Botanic Gardens. He petitioned the Legislative Assembly in 1872 for a reward as recognition for being the first person to make sugar in the colony of Queensland. Samuel Griffith put in a motion on John's behalf but this motion was rejected.
