Fine uncut copy. (Parl. Paper No. 669). The very rare 1st edition. Ferguson 2500 recording only the George Mackaness copy. A second printing (see Ferguson 2501) was issued on the 16th August 1838 thirteen days after the copy here offered. NOTE: A very important report. Evidence was given by the Very Rev. William Ullathorne D. D. Sir Edward Parry (Arctic Explorer then Superintendent of the Australian Agricultural Company at Port Stephens) Major Thomas L. Mitchell Major Thomas Wright John Marshall James Macarthur and others. Startling particulars of the conditions on Norfolk Island were revealed. The Appendix contains many important documents.
