August 1866. Oblong 4to. Orig. half red morocco with gilt title to front cover (spine repaired; covers a little soiled). Comprising printed title-page with the address of the photographer crossed out and neatly inserted with the address of 14 High Street St. Kilda in a clear hand; list of the 24 original photographs each of which is mounted within a gilt-lined border with a caption below the image and each photograph with a page of descriptive text. All edges gilt. Some slight foxing mostly confined to the text leaves. The photographs measure 16 x 10cm. Fine and complete. NOTE: Not recorded in Ferguson; Holden: "Photography in Colonial Australia"; nor Gael Newton's Shades of Light Photography and Australia 1839-1988".
