With 13 black and white illustrations engraved frontispiece and title-page. New end-papers. 1st edition second state. Corners of engraved frontispiece and title-page water stained. NOTE: The illustrations in this edition were done by D. Maclisse R. Doyle J. Leech and C. Stanfield. This was the second book in Charles Dicken's series of Christmas Books of which there were five. The others in the series include 'A Christmas Carol' (1843) 'The Cricket on the Hearth' (1845) 'The Battle of Life' (1846) and 'The Haunted Man' (1848).
