Spines uniformly extra gilt stamped and with raised bands. All edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. Complete with 2 engraved frontispieces 2 additional illustrated title-pages and 37 full-page steel-engraved plates all with their orig. plain paper guards. Some occasional foxing but an excellent set. Printed in double-column. NOTE: A most handsome set of the magisterial Victorian Imperial Edition specially bound for presentation purposes with the binders ticket of Fussell & Co. Chestnut House Dawes' Point Sydney inside front cover of each volume. Desirable thus as a colonial Australian binding.
