NOTE: Charles Gavan Duffy (1816-1903) born in Ireland and from 1842-1855 he played a leading part in Irish politics. Then he migrated to Australia was elected to the Victorian Legislative Assembly in 1856 and became Premier in 1871. In 1880 he retired to Nice writing a number of historical works.
