Limited edition of 1000 autographed editions this being No. 384 with autographed tipped-in photograph of author. Previous owners name on front free endpaper. Offsetting from photograph. Very light foxing and toning on endpapers otherwise a very good copy. NOTE: The son of a Glasgow wine merchant James William Gordon was a station manager who became involved in the literary scene. In 1900 Gordon became a freelance journalist with his first verses published in 1902. His friendship with Henry Lawson had a lasting impact on his work. In fact it was Lawsons who suggested that Gordon change his writing name to Jim Grahame.
